The Schlock Horror Alienation Show-National Suicide Prevention Day

We may never really know how many people, parents, alienated children, their extended families die as a result of being subjected to alienation, especially those who die by suicide.

In the last few weeks, leading up to National Suicide Prevention Day, I have become aware of several targeted parents whose alienated children have died by suicide or at least by a means that goes beyond just self-harm. In several of these cases, the targeted parent discovered the death of their children accidentally through social media or through a well-meaning friend or colleague who thought they already knew.

And in the last year or so at least one murder-suicide of alienated children has occurred. It will not be the last.

Even more insidious is the effect upon alienated children and their targeted parents who actively contemplate ending their lives because the pain and the injustice is unbearable. Even if they do not act on their darkest thoughts, they are suffering unbearable psychological pain.

Let there be no doubt that alienation has the potential to kill. The delusional reality into which favoured-alienating parents induct their children can result is bizarre rationalisations that justify death, suicide and murder.

‘Schlock’ as in the genre of ‘schlock-horror’ has been described as the disconnect between the logical and the emotional parts of your mind. ‘Schlock’ is associated with low budget, poor quality movies that mock reality. ‘Schlock’ realities may be objectively stupid, or nonsensical, yet are all the more compelling for the horror that their sheer stupidity and irrationality belie.

Good people die in schlock horror flicks, in the hands of monsters hiding in plain sight. It’s cheaper that way whilst the audience is compelled to watch hapless victims fall prey to incomprehensible monsters. Alienation really is schlock horror in real life. The thing is, real people die while we all look on in horror. You could be next.
